E Learning Week III Summary

In Week III, we have to do the following activities: 

1.       Discussion - Aural/Oral Skill-Building Websites

2.       Task - Using Delicious.com to Store Useful Links

3.       Blog

4.       Project Task 2

First, I started with Activity 2 for this task is the easiest one for me this week. Creating an account in www.delicious.com is easy and just to follow the instructions step by step like while creating blog in first week. This website is very useful for storing your links. I also found other teachers delicious pages which mostly concern with learning English techniques. These are very valuable for me.

Second, I made a discussion for Aural/Oral Skill-Building Websites. Mostly I use the American Accent Training CD for oral skill and the website I use for Oral skill is www.engvid.com.

Third, Project Task 2, for this task I choose a project of Nikiema Burkina Faso. I read his project thoroughly first and give summary, comments, suggestions and the facts I like.

Finally, I create a blog post for Week III.

Week III is actually full of learning English with technology. It leads me lots of reading and using web technologies. It can give me a lot of ideas from web pages and also from other teachers’ projects. Thanks for letting me know and feel the new experiences.

E Learning Week II Summary

As we already introduce ourselves and are getting familiar with the websites and blogs that we will use in our course, our lessons actually start in week II now. In Week II, we have to read, think and imagine.

Three Main Tasks this week are

1.       Web Searching

2.       ABCD objectives Model  and

3.       Describe a Class

In No.1 Task Web searching, we have to post about the advantages and disadvantages of Search Engines. In order to post this, we have to read the instruction carefully, explore different search engines and find out what are advantages and disadvantages. By doing this, I got a chance to know SE what I did not use before. 

No.2 Task ABCD objectives Model is very new task for me. I had never heard and learned it before. But it is really nice task and teaches me that whatever we do we should have objective. ABCD means Audience-Behavior-Condition-Degree. We have to write only a single sentence that encompasses ABCD style. 

No.3 Task Describe a Class is a main project for this course. Start from week 2, we have to shape our class up to end of the course. We create our class with the learners, setting, course goals and the reason why the students are learning English. And then Issue or problem to be addressed that technology can help with.  

Now you see the different tasks of Week II, right? I am doing the best as far as I can. I hope you can catch up what I explain but I am sorry if you do not understand because the course is very new and strange for me. Anyway, this is very nice to learn not only from the course but also from other teachers.

E Learning Week I Summary

Last week, I started e learning online from http://aei.uoregon.edu/teachers/elearning. It is 10 weeks course from Jan 5 to March 13,2015.This was amazing starting for me with a lot of learners from different countries (see on our map https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=zqxw09-SSzpU.k_79Q5GWLYP4) and full of strange learning . Before we start the lessons, we need to fill survey on (http://tinyurl.com/Webskills-Winter-2015-Survey),create a blog on www.blogspot.com and post blog URL on course Wiki.The link to my blog is www.kspuo.blogspot.com.To finish the tasks, I need to follow the instructions step by step.

Mainly we have to use three web sites  :
1. https://sites.google.com/site/webskillsuo/home/assinments/week-1 ( To find assignments and instructions)
2. https://blackboard.uoregon.edu ( To check the points of our assignments )
3. www.nicenet.org ( It is our classroom. We submit all our assignments and discussions )

Three discussions we did in Week I are
1. Introduction 
2. Ground Rules discussion
3. Thoughts about creating a blog

Now, do you see how full of exciting learning in our Week I's course? This is only beginning but I will share all my knowledge as far as I learn.I believe that all courses will give me a lot of benefits.I am happy and proud of to be a part of the Winter 2015 ‘Building Teaching Skills Through the Interactive Web’ course.
