This week is all about Learner Autonomy. A discussion and a Padlet.
This week discussion is learner autonomy with one computer classroom and mobile devices. Each of us need to find out an idea to encourage greater autonomy in students by considering with given resources. The links ( see in the list below) are so useful.

The new tool for this week is Padlet. It is like a wall for sharing of wishes. Each students can post their idea or thinking to Padlet so that the teacher can overview their thoughts and adjust the teaching way.
The last task is to find a partner for peer review. I cannot still find a partner yet. That's my bad. I will be waiting for my instructor to assign a partner for me.It is also interesting task.

Hi Jessica,
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you came across so many useful link. I'm intrigued by the one-panel comic that you've included at the end of your post. How do you interpret it? It seems to me like the antithesis of learner autonomy.
Best,
Russell
Hi Russell,
ReplyDeleteMy point of view is that students have their own thinking (learner autonomy) but the teacher just only need to shape it to which she want to design.
Sorry if my idea of thinking is wrong. It is really hard for me to catch up.
Best Regards,
Jessica.
Hi darling,
ReplyDeleteJust like Russell, I was attracted by the attached picture. At first, I thought it is a representative image of teacher-center classroom where the teacher has the dominion role, and ignore students' role as a part of their learning process (autonomy). However, I got your point from the reply you sent to our tutor.
I browsed some of the links you recommended, and I found them useful.
Thanks,
Iman, Oman
